In an anonymous apartment building on Manhattan's East Side, the New York Study Team gathered to conduct yet another experiment in the Science of Perception. A twenty-minute contact exercise was the prelude to a viewing of the iconoclastic video "The Next to Last Temptation of Christ." Is this the opening of a Perry Mason thriller, regarding an avant garde New York think tank? Beginning of a sequel to the unequalled Voyage to Arcturus by David Lindsay, the 20's novel which begins with a chapter concerning a seance in New York City? Could it be a script for a future segment of 60 Minutes on network TV? None of the above. It is the intro to ToTM #107., executed, recorded, transcribed and edited by the New York Study Circle, and brought in to the ToTM series at the express request of E.J. Gold. The talk is a transcript of the group's discussion after seeing this bardo video for the first time. It is presented as a ToTM not with the idea that other groups should imitate the New York Circle, or sound exactly how they sound, but as an example of what a group that focusses its group attention, and works as a team, can do to penetrate work artifacts and ideas. As another option, say, to having them interpreted for you or expecting the message to be presented on a silver platter, so to speak. This is the first ToTM issue entirely produced by field representatives of the Institute--but probably not the last, due to the high quality and value of the document.
