Chapter X
by General (Uncle Claude) Xxaxx
& General (E.J. Gold) Nunan PFC 1st Class Ret.

Student Woo, laying in bed that night suspected that tomorrow was not what it she had been told it would be. She was more than prepared for the challenge of going into the jungle and returning with any number of samples — with or without knife, matches, clothes or what have you. She had the skills of both her Chinese heritage and fifteen years of training. “Voguing has been such a hardship that it’s been a tremendous asset. I’ve had to be better than any man, I couldn’t afford even a single accident. All I’d need would be for a school doctor to get one look at my bound breasts or do something as simple as give me a tetanus shot in the buns and that would be that. I don’t care how obtuse the average doctor one examination and my voguing would be front page news in the school paper and out I’d be. I can’t afford even one reported accidents. Fortunately I’m better at meditech then at preventing accidents. You’d think there was plenty of room and encouragement for any egghead that wished to take extended schooling. But no, now as in ancient times only certain families and only the male children at that were allowed to continue pass rudimentary education. Citizins are brutal and cruel in their treatment of eggheads, I’ve come to expect that. The Cownsil and all of the other male dominated administrative bodies are no less brutish in their treatment of women. What’s the trip. It’s not like we are even biologically involved in making babies. We are as sterile as any mule. Well let the men think that they have the reins of the reign. Let the Citizins think that the Cownsil is its only enemy. Let the men take the heat and the glory, I have many other fishheads to sauté in a cholesterol free low temperature oil-free cooking pan.” Woo loved to borrow phrases from a the twentieth century.

“One of these days I should do something about this habit of talking to myself. But then again, I don’t think even the best experts will be able to stop me.” Voguing as a man in order to penetrate academics and gain entrance into the field of dragon magic has forced Woo to lead such a guarded and secretive life that she has out of necessity fallen into a firm habit of talking to herself.

As Woo was falling off to sleep, she reminded herself, “Well, at least I win most of the arguments.”
